Little Black Dress

This is how I wear my LBD....

 

Always a time and a place for the little black dress (LBD). A girl should always have an LBD stored away in her wardrobe for a party, dinner, evening out with friends....any occasion really. It's so simple and understated to wear a LBD and you can dress it up with heels or rock it down (like I always do ) with a pair of cowboy boots, biker boots or as I have done in this picture, with a pair of Senso's.

 This LBD dress was given to me by my Auntie a few months back. It's from the 70's and I love the cut away slits on the side with the added piece of plastic sewn at the mid-rift for detail.

The pink leather jacket is a vintage Moschino that my other auntie kindly gave to me. She has a whole collection of 80's pieces that she just doesn't wear anymore (perfect for me).

TIP: Don't be afraid to mix up high street with vintage from any era. It can make any vintage outfit look more modern.

The shoes are Senso and the fish net ankle socks are from American Apparel.

The chunky silver chain I picked up from a charity shop.

The lipstick is 'Media' by Mac and nail varnish is 'Vertigo' by Chanel.

Don't worry...here is wear you can get your LBD at a reasonable price and they are CUTE!

To Tie Or Dye

 

Dress Topshop, leather jacket vintage, hat Nike, sunglasses Asos

I bought this tie dye dress a few months back from Topshop so they no longer have this one in store, but you can get these versions here. They are funky.

Worn with my boyfriends vintage leather, heavy on my shoulders, and my Margiela white high tops. These shoes are great with so many outfits.

I added a splash of Mac 'About Town' pink lipstick to soften it up and add a fresh, bright tone to the overall look.

CREAM

This dress is my grandmothers. She gave it to me a while back and I've had it folded away in my cupboard for far too long. It is time for its revival. 

My sunglasses are vintage, I picked them up from a car boot sale. 

Knits are perfect for the winter months.

For Christmas I am going for anything that's shimmery or glitters. 

That's why I love these Pretty Polly tights and this INC dress with these cute sewn on plastic discs. They rustle when I walk and reflect the light like a disco ball.

And I don't leave the house without my wooly hat!

Christmas Party Outfit: Sexy Sparkle Skirt

Hello!

I was rummaging through my drawers this morning, clearing away some of the clothes I haven't worn for a while and I stumbled across my sparkly vintage skirt. Given to me by my future sister in law, Flora, a little while back it's a perfect little number for the Christmas party.

Here's my 3 different looks:

 Look 1 a plain white vest top, J crew biker boots and my vintage leather jacket. The vintage earrings add some more colour and sparkle- so important for Christmas!

 Look 2, is my Hobbs shirt, vintage blazer and vintage brogues. Topshop and Asos have some fab brogues at the moment.

Look 3, is my boyfriends plain black t shirt with the sleeves cut off and the neck line altered. Such an easy thing to do and I think adds a bit of rock to an outfit. Worn with my Guess fur jacket and my Laboutins.
