Pink, ruffled dress vintage, boots The Dispensary , parka vintage, hat Portobello Market, tights Pretty Polly
I decided late last night that I have to show you my Auntie's pink dress and seeing as it's Friday today and Friday's are my new dress up day, it felt like the time was now (I may live to regret this).

I recently raided my grandmothers wardrobe (I usually do this at least once a month) and found the dress tucked away on the top shelf. It was calling my name. Except for my pink converse I don't think I have much else that's pink.

The inspiration behind this shoot was grunge girl vs. high school prom night. I like the juxtaposition of the heavy, dirty parka with black army boots. The  pretty polly 'hold up' tights are a bit cheeky but I think because the parka is so big and the dress not overtly sexy I can wear them.
Really fun for a shoot but I can't see when I would wear this delightful, sparkly numbher. My sweet 16 would have been ideal. Damn it....that's been and gone. Hhmmmmm my brothers sweet 16? Im sure he won't mind if I turned up in this. Actually, I think he would mind if I turned up full stop. I am NFI'd.
Likey?

"PLEASE PRACTICE PEACE PEOPLE"

BBrrrrr !! Is it me or is it cold in here?

Yes, I'm cold to the bone!

Blazer, Zara, shoes Senso, leather top and skirt CC KUO, glassess ASOS

"Hey, what about wearing some clothes", I hear you say! I decided to add a shirt- what do you think with or without?

And as an alternative lovelies you have these micro shorts. The smallest, tightest shorts you have ever seen a women to wear in London in the Winter. That's why I'm gazing outside....just to see if the weather's right today. I have this gut feeling that it may be a bit too cold right now. You can only dream...

Sun glassess Ray-ban, Shirt Gap and blazer Zara. Shorts and waist coat CC KUO

Look at these trousers! They are funky. I could wear these with my Nike air force ones to make the outfit more gangster.

I want to say a special thanks to Amber at Emslie Creative for the CC KUO clothes :)

Get Your Christmas Dress! Ranking of the high street

With Christmas just over a month away, the shops are filling up fast with all the sparkles, colours and glitz they can muster.

I'm already reading about what to wear, how to wear it and when to wear it at Christmas and it's making me a little bit twitchy.

Like most of us girls we want to get our hands on the best out there and getting it right the first time is essential. With so much to choose from on the high street I thought I should do the honourable thing and source out what's worth it and whats not!

Cut out the average and the just plain rubbish. We haven't got time for any for that. We know that it's a desperate sprint to the finish line, sequins at the ready!

Speaking of a fast sprint, I'm running low in energy reserves because I've been focusing on the  necessary tasks such as party planning and festive blogging (obviously).

Anyway, enough excuses. If you like fashion and LOVE to party here are the top high street Christmas Dresses you need to get your hands on before December 25th! That's 6 weeks from today! Crikey.

Nicole Ritchie The Fashion Designer

Winter Kate and House Of Harlow 1960 Press Day

If you haven't got the hang of Twitter yet or you're still  being stubborn and resisting to conforming then you must read this.

I was invited personally via Twitter to take a look at the Nicole Ritchie's S/S 2013 (new) collection. Obviously I was in.

I had heard about her collection launching back in 2009 but it just hasn't been in my fashion radar. However, with a personal invite sent my way and the chance to preview the collection before any other fool I jumped at the chance.

Here are some snaps from the event

I was so desperate to try that I sneaked to the loo to take some shots of me in a few of my favourite pieces.
Like this cream, suede jacket- CUTE! Luckily for me there wasn't too many awkward people around watching me change.

There are some of the bags. I always go black but I do love the cheeky green snake skin making an appearance in the front. What a beaut.

I can never get enough sunglasses!! What, you think these are BIG?

I clocked this grey jumpsuit when I first walked in. It's adorable and even more so with this suede jacket. As soon as the weather gets a bit friendlier I'm getting me one of these! With Doc Martins?? Yes, please.

WOW. This gorgeous trouser suit is so on trend.  One trouser suit to go please!
Boho to the max!I feel like J-LO in this.

The fabric was so soft! I was thinking.... the shirt is relatively sophisticated which I think means I can get away with wearing these shorts around town......right?

Here's how I like to wear Winter Kate at home....

Sunglasses Asos, leather jacket vintage, scarf Winter Kate, dress Winter Kate, pumps Senso

Photos taken by me

Yeah....it's definitely me.  I teamed up Winter Kate with my own bits to make this part of my signature style. I don't mind the low-plunging neck line as the dress has a relaxed feel and it's not too tight which makes it less provocative!  However ladies, tit tape is essential.

I never know my plans for the evening so I am a big fan of an outfit I can wear in the day and take through with me to the night time.

Also, I would love this dress for the beach! Oh, I need a reality check. I am not going to be near a beach anytime soon. Let's hope next summer I will see one!

Winter Kate SS 2013 conclusion; it's a yes from me.

What do you think?
